Although I hardly consider myself a writer but when I write something in moments of inspiration, I like to share my feelings with my readers. I feel I still have a long way to go but as time seems to be running out on me, I try to work as much as my ageing body allows me. Below is a brief description of my writing career i.e. if you can call it a career at all!
I started experimenting with my pen (and keyboard) as a home based writer in 2006. I usually write for The Dawn Newspaper (Pakistan) in-page magazines i.e. The Review and Young World. But occasionally I write for other publications also.
I am a fighter by nature and have worked hard through the years I have started my career as a writer. My aim in life is to prove to the World that Islam is not a religion of terrorism, hatred and extremism. Its true message is love, sacrifice, discipline and peaceful co existence.
I have received two awards for my entries to the National Book Foundation (Pakistan) Annual Competition for the Promotion of Children’s Literature, “Follow The Light” and “Footsteps”, which got the 1st and 3rd prizes respectively. Follow the Light and its Urdu version Roshan Raahein (translated by me) have already been published (by Ferozsons Private Limited). Footsteps is still in the press(again Ferozsons Private Limited). I intend to start my third book “Lost Legacies” very soon Insha Allah.
Feedback on my writings from my readers would be most welcome, Thanks!
