About

Although I hardly consider myself a writer but when I write something in moments of inspiration, I like to share my feelings with my readers. I feel I still have a long way to go but as time seems to be running out on me, I try to work as much as my ageing body allows me. Below is a brief description of my writing career i.e. if you can call it a career at all!
I started experimenting with my pen (and keyboard) as a home based writer in 2006. I usually write for The Dawn Newspaper (Pakistan) in-page magazines i.e. The Review and Young World. But occasionally I write for other publications also.
I am a fighter by nature and have worked hard through the years I have started my career as a writer. My aim in life is to prove to the World that Islam is not a religion of terrorism, hatred and extremism. Its true message is love, sacrifice, discipline and peaceful co existence.
I have received two awards for my entries to the National Book Foundation (Pakistan) Annual Competition for the Promotion of Children’s Literature, “Follow The Light” and “Footsteps”, which got the 1st and 3rd prizes respectively. Follow the Light and its Urdu version  Roshan Raahein (translated by me) have already been published (by Ferozsons Private Limited). Footsteps is still in the press(again Ferozsons Private Limited). I intend to start my third book “Lost Legacies” very soon Insha Allah.

Feedback on my writings from my readers would be most welcome, Thanks!

  2. You seems like a real strong lady🙂 It was lovely reading about you and your writing experiences are such impressive😉 Wish you all the best !
You know my heart cries too when I see the vision in people’s minds that Islam is a religion of terrorism….I argue here on the blogging sphere so much with them and it sometimes make me cry when I couldn’t prove my point….I am not a scholar I am a normal Muslim and now at this stage I feel the need that there should be an authentic Scholar to whom we can ask what we have in mind……
I hope you continue your journey like the same you are doing and more…. Allah will help you InshAllah🙂
Maria said me to check out your blog and Really I am impressed by your writings🙂
Love you and many many prayers and wishes for you ! xx

    • Thanks a lot White Pearl for all the compliments (which I hardly deserve) as I am still trying to establish myself as a writer. All the best for yr blog too and yes, we shld turn to authentic scholars where there is a confusion! About Islam and terrorism, Sigh! What can I say, so much wrong has been done in the name of Islam we will hv to continue our Jehaad with our acts and pens to clear up the mess! May Allah help the Muslim Ummah all over the world.. Ameen

  4. Yasminji sorry for the delayed response.
I am so blessed that you visited my blog and brought me here.
Well, through your blog you hav already proven what Islam is- the wise fill certainly follow your words. All d best for your journey and the jihaad for the just cause..
    God bless this noble soul!!

    • That is so kind of you Pamela! I really feel flattered. My request to you and all my readers…plz study Islam and its teachings more closely before labeling it a religion of terrorists! There is much more to this great religion than the barbaric acts of a bunch of extremists (who are not even fit to be called Muslims)!

      • Yasminji, you have started on a very meaningful journey through your blog.
Well, I feel that terrorists dont have any religion.
No God allows bloodshed and barbarism, it is man who does so in the name of religion.
Through your pen , you will certainly convince the world, some day soon.
        God bless!
